Board Member Vacancy

Board Member Vacancy

The Beaver River Central School Board of Education is a seven-member board whose terms last for five years.  Every year terms expire so that there is continuity of board members.  We have two (2) vacancies on the Board for this year:  Current Board of Education President, Christine Lashbrooks will seek re-election. As of April 8th, David Meyer has decided to seek re-election. Persons interested in running for the vacancies need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Reside in our school district for one year prior to the election
  • Be age 18 years of age or older

Candidates may pick up a nominating petition from Mrs. Shauna Rice, District Clerk for the Board of Education, in the District Office.  Twenty-five (25) signatures from Beaver River Central School District residents are required for the nominating petitions which are due to Mrs. Rice by 5:00 p.m. on April 22, 2019.  Voting will take place on May 21, 2019 along with the annual budget vote.
