Class Leaders for 2019

The academic leaders for the class of 2019 at Beaver River Central School are Trent Meyer, valedictorian; Amanda Zehr, salutatorian; and outstanding vocational class leader, Candice Cardinal.

Trent Meyer is the son of David and Sandy Meyer. Trent has an academic average of 96.98 and will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors and mastery in Math and Science. Trent is Secretary of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club and also has been the Class of 2019 secretary for the last four years. Trent is the captain of the swim team, received Frontier League Honorable Mention All-Star for Soccer and has been a member of the track team for the last four years. Trent is part of the Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Marching Band.  Trent is enrolled at St. Lawrence University and he hopes to be a dentist.

Amanda Zehr, daughter of Greg and Samantha Zehr has an academic average of 96.33 and will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors and mastery in Science. Amanda is heavily involved in the Arts program, active in Choraleers, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Marching band.  Amanda participated in the NYSSMA Solo Festival all four years of high school and was a cast member of the last three high school musicals. Amanda would like to pursue a field in the sciences and will attend Jefferson Community College.

Candice Cardinal, daughter of Ronald and Carrie Cardinal has a two year average of 95.88 in Medical Careers/New Vision Health at Howard G. Sackett Technical Center. Candice will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with mastery in Science. Candice is a member of the National Honor Society and has been a member of the National FFA Organization for the past four years. Tennis was her sport this year, previously Candice was on the track team. While at Howard G. Sackett Technical Center, Candice was awarded Student of the Quarter in Medical Careers. Candice is enrolled at Jefferson Community College in the Natural Sciences program.
